Universal Life Church

By Gregory Vanden Berge
Bible Contradictions?
Read these two Bible verses and tell me that this isn't a direct contradiction.
Genesis 32:30 (King James Version) And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

John 1:18 (King James Version) No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

I don't know how many years I've been telling people that there are Bible contradictions, in the Holy Bible. Genesis obviously makes the statement that Jacob seen God face to face and in John, no man hath seen God. It's a simple statement, but still there are millions of people who deny that the Bible has any contradictions in it.

The bad news for most Christians is that there are plenty of Bible contradictions, but for whatever reasons Christians come up with, they choose to ignore the facts. The literal interpretation of both of these Bible verses can be confusing to anyone who is studying Christianity.
Someone told me the other day that I was bashing Christians, but that isn't true. I'm trying to point something out to generations of brainwashed believers who are truly seeking a better life, but remained stuck living with in a shell of outdated beliefs.
Before science, the ability to print and distribute educational materials and the Internet, religious beliefs weren't questioned, but today people are starting to look at the facts, instead of the evidence provided by most Christian organizations.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

The Universal Life Church offers handfasting ceremonies, funeral ceremonies and free minister training.

As a long time member of ULC, Rev. Long created the seminary site to help train our ministers. We also have a huge catalog of Universal Life Church materials.  I've been ordained with the Universal Life Church for many years and it's Seminary since the beginning and have loved watching the continual growth of the seminary.
